Andreia Gaita 21e524a798 C#: Let platforms signal if they support it or not
Instead of hardcoding platform names that support C#, let platforms
set a flag indicating if they support it. All public platforms
except web already support it, and it's a pain to maintain a patch
for this list just to add additional names of proprietary console
platforms.

This makes adding new platforms or variants or existing platforms
much easier, as the platform can signal what it supports/doesn't
support directly, and we can avoid harcoding platform names.

Fix the fetching of images from windows clipboard, if they're in CF_DIB format (e. g. by taking screenshots).

Image::create_from_data was used with an instance of Image, but it's a static function, returning a new instance.

Fix various typos with codespell
Using 2.2.7.dev115+g0eb441d6.

Had to add `cancelled` to the ignore list, as it's a Wayland signal which
we're handling in our code, so we don't want codespell to fix that "typo".

Also includes the typo fix from #87927.

Silence wayland-scanner check in buildsystem
This prevents a wayland-scanner message from appearing every build
when `wayland=yes` is used (the default). The error message when
wayland-scanner is still printed as it's not printed by
wayland-scanner itself.

Dalton Lang 8a2e4409e6 [X11] Partial Fix Godot Editor and Project Manager steals focus on a window manager on Linux
This is a workaround for the most critical portion of the WM focus bug
described in #68305. On some specific X11 WM configurations, the
editor's main window and any popups it creates will fight for focus,
which causes a total system lockup due to mouse and keyboard input being
stolen as well. Getting out of this infinite loop requires force
restarting the system.

It can be tested with the following shell script:

```bash
	!#/bin/sh

	godot4 &
	sleep 30
	pkill -x godot4
```

The workaround identified in #68305 is to remove the call to
XSetInputFocus in the ConfigureNotify event handler, so I have removed
the conditional block that calls this as well as the setup code above it
since there is no need to allocate the memory for the variables if they
won't be used in that call anymore.

This is just a hack and is not a complete fix for #68305. Multiple
developers are collaborating on a proper fix in the discussion in that
issue, but time is a valuable resource that no one has enough of, so I
am committing this workaround as a stop-gap to prevent the most critical
problem while we work on a full solution for the underlying cause.

Andreia Gaita 7638a6c981 Add new VS proj generation logic that supports any platform that wants to opt in
Custom Visual Studio project generation logic that supports any platform that has a msvs.py
script, so Visual Studio can be used to run scons for any platform, with the right defines per target.

Invoked with `scons vsproj=yes`

To generate build configuration files for all platforms+targets+arch combinations, users should call

```
scons vsproj=yes platform=XXX target=YYY [other build flags]
```

for each combination of platform+target[+arch]. This will generate the relevant vs project files but
skip the build process, so that project files can be quickly generated without waiting for a command line
build. This lets project files be quickly generated even if there are build errors.

All possible combinations of platform+target are created in the solution file by default, but they
won't do anything until each one is set up with a scons vsproj=yes command for the respective platform
in the appropriate command line. This lets users only generate the combinations they need, and VS
won't have to parse settings for other combos.

Only platforms that opt in to vs proj generation by having a msvs.py file in the platform folder are included.
Platforms with a msvs.py file will be added to the solution, but only the current active platform+target+arch
will have a build configuration generated, because we only know what the right defines/includes/flags/etc are
on the active build target currently being processed by scons.

Platforms that don't support an editor target will have a dummy editor target that won't do anything on build,
but will have the files and configuration for the windows editor target.

To generate AND build from the command line, run

```
scons vsproj=yes vsproj_gen_only=no
```

Riteo c3d6cc57be Wayland: disable backend at build-time if wayland-scanner is missing
This allows previous X11-only setups to still build Godot with default
settings. Note that compilation will still abort if wayland-scanner is
present but not the various Wayland libraries.

Riteo 7e0f7d3abd Add Wayland support
Not everything is yet implemented, either for Godot or personal
limitations (I don't have all hardware in the world). A brief list of
the most important issues follows:

- Single-window only: the `DisplayServer` API doesn't expose enough
information for properly creating XDG shell windows.

- Very dumb rendering loop: this is very complicated, just know that
the low consumption mode is forced to 2000 Hz and some clever hacks are
in place to overcome a specific Wayland limitation. This will be
improved to the extent possible both downstream and upstream.

- Features to implement yet: IME, touch input, native file dialog,
drawing tablet (commented out due to a refactor), screen recording.

- Mouse passthrough can't be implement through a poly API, we need a
rect-based one.

- The cursor doesn't yet support fractional scaling.

- Auto scale is rounded up when using fractional scaling as we don't
have a per-window scale query API (basically we need
`DisplayServer::window_get_scale`).

- Building with `x11=no wayland=yes opengl=yes openxr=yes` fails.

This also adds a new project property and editor setting for selecting the
default DisplayServer to start, to allow this backend to start first in
exported projects (X11 is still the default for now). The editor setting
always overrides the project setting.

Mel Collins 8406e60522 Add InputEventKey.location to tell left from right
This adds a new enum `KeyLocation` and associated property
`InputEventKey.location`, which indicates the left/right location of key
events which may come from one of two physical keys, eg. Shift, Ctrl.

It also adds simulation of missing Shift KEYUP events for Windows.
When multiple Shifts are held down at the same time, Windows natively
only sends a KEYUP for the last one to be released.

MrBBBaiXue ea2c6f1d0b Add a python script to install Direct3D 12 SDK components.
This makes it much faster to get started with Direct3D 12 builds,
as you only need to run `python .\misc\scripts\install_d3d12_sdk_windows.py`
then run `scons d3d12=yes`.

This installs DirectX Shader Compiler, Mesa NIR, WinPixEventRuntime
and DirectX 12 Agility SDK.

- Define a default path that uses the locations from the script.
- Now the default path is in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Godot\build_deps\"
- Updated CI to use this new python script.

Yuri Sizov 95b27fe8c7 Reorganize code related to editor theming
This change introduces a new EditorThemeManager class
to abstract theme generatio and its subroutines.

Logic related to EditorTheme, EditorColorMap, and editor
icons has been extracted into their respective files with
includes cleaned up.

All related files have been moved to a separate folder to
better scope them in the project. This includes relevant
generated files as well.

Enabling this property on select windows, they will become transient to the currently focused one when becoming visible.

Currently the render thread is started / stopped when the activity is respectively resumed / paused. However, according to the `GLSurfaceView` documentation, this should be done instead when the activity is started / stopped, so this change updates the start / stop logic for the render thread to match the documentation.

Window's with the no_focus flag should still process mouse events and not consume them. Otherwise all mouse pressed operations will not work inside Godot's PopupMenu.
This problem is Windows only, all other platforms do process mouse events for PopupMenu's correctly.

Fredia Huya-Kouadio dce2686e52 Remove Android specific abis from the export preset feature list
The presence of those abis cause them to be included in the set of `p_features` passed to the `gdextension_export_plugin#_export_file(...)` method, which caused them to be lumped in the `features_wo_arch` set.
When trying to find the gdextension library path, we use a predicate with the following logic:

```
[features_wo_arch, arch_tag](String p_feature) { return features_wo_arch.has(p_feature) || (p_feature == arch_tag); }
```

For a `gdextension` config file like the one below, this causes the first android entry (`android.armeabi-v7a = ...`) to always be returned regardless of archs since it always satisfies the predicate.

Linux: Remove hardcoded lib path for x86 cross-compilation
This breaks the build with our updated i686 Linux SDK which doesn't contain
this path, and may not be needed at all.

This might need further work to be robust, and there's an open PR already
adding -march flags for all supported architectures, but for now we're
playing it safe for 4.2.

Fabio Alessandrelli e9df955e39 [Web] Fix closure compiler builds using BIGINT
When using proxy_to_pthread we add BIGINT support (to support exchanging
64 bits integers between wasm and JS).

Bigint though, is part of ECMAScript 2020, and the closure compiler was
using ECMAScript 6 instead.

This commit update the CC configuration to use ECMAScript 2020 instead.

Updated compiler version detection
This fixes multiple issues/inconsistencies around  `get_compiler_version()`:
* With no shell allocated, launching the compiler could fail even
  with proper paths being set.
* The return value was described as "an array of version numbers as ints",
  but the function actually returned a `Dictionary` (or `None`).
* Not all calls were properly handling a `None` return value in case of errors.
  On Windows this broke compiling for me since #81869 with default settings.
* Some calls defined inconsistent defaults/fallbacks (`0` or `-1`).

I couldn't tell whether this has an actual purpose and it feels more
like a debug remnant.

We also need to be able to disable vsync in the editor for the WIP
Wayland backend (in the EGL driver) as it does manual frame throttling.

Aitor Guevara 6263774aec [Windows] Fix not applying NVIDIA profile to new executables
An NVIDIA profile is applied to the current executable to disable
threaded OpenGL optimizations on Windows (see #71472). But because the
application is only added to the profile upon the profile creation,
newer executables won't be added to the profile (e.g. if the profile is
created on first launch of Godot_v4.1-stable_win64.exe, when users
update the editor and launch Godot_v4.2-stable_win64.exe, the profile
will never be applied to this new executable).
This patch fixes that scenario by splitting creating the profile (if it
doesn't exist) and adding the application (if it doesn't have a profile
applied) into two separate steps.
Applications that have been manually added to a different profile aren't
overriden to avoid confusing users who know what they're doing.

Web: Disable raycast module by default (no occlusion culling)
This means no CPU occlusion culling (and not compiling Embree), unless
you compile custom export templates with `module_raycast_enabled=yes`.

This reduces the memory footprint significantly, and binary size.

UWP: Remove platform port, needs to be redone from scratch for 4.x
The UWP platform port was never ported to the Godot 4.0+ API,
and it's now accumulating bitrot as it doesn't compile, and thus
we no longer propagate platform changes in it.

So we finally remove to acknowledge this state. There's still some
interest in reviving the UWP port eventually, especially as support
for Direct3D 12 will soon be merged, but when that happens it will
be easiest to redo it from scratch.

This allows to include script_instance.h directly in the

Windows: Always double-quote path when launching explorer.exe to browse
Code now always double quotes the filename to use as command line
argument when calling explorer.exe. In particular, commas in a filename
would be interpreted by explorer.exe as separators for commands.

Similarly a trim_suffix for "file://" is assumed to be a mistake, this
could potentially be a PREfix that we want to strip, but never a suffix.
Since it didn't seem needed in the end, we removed it.

SCons: Disable C++ exception handling
Upon investigating the extremely slow MSVC build times in #80513, I noticed
that while Godot policy is to never use exceptions, we weren't enforcing it
with compiler flags, and thus still included exception handling code and
stack unwinding.

This is wasteful on multiple aspects:

- Binary size: Around 20% binary size reduction with exceptions disabled
  for both MSVC and GCC binaries.
- Compile time:
  * More than 50% build time reduction with MSVC.
  * 10% to 25% build time reduction with GCC + LTO.
- Performance: Possibly, needs to be benchmarked.

Since users may want to re-enable exceptions in their own thirdparty code
or the libraries they compile with Godot, this behavior can be toggled with
the `disable_exceptions` SCons option, which defaults to true.

Add a "version" project setting and use it in new export presets
This makes it easy to retrieve the project version at runtime
for display purposes, while simplifying the export preset configuration.
You can now leave the version empty unless you need to override it on a per-preset
basis.

Since export presets save the values of default values to the `export_presets.cfg`
file, this change only affects export presets created after this commit was merged.

Fabio Alessandrelli f4713d235a [Web] Always return -1 as body length in HTTPClientWeb.
Body length cannot be reliably retrieved from the web.
Reading the "content-length" value will return a meaningless value when
the response is compressed, as reading will return uncompressed chunks
in any case, resulting in a mismatch between the detected body size and
the actual size returned by repeatedly calling read_response_body_chunk.

Additionally, while "content-length" is considered a safe CORS header,
"content-encoding" is not, so using the "content-encoding" to decide if
"content-length" is meaningful is not an option either.

We simply must accept the fact that browsers are awful when it comes to
networking APIs.

The previous packaging format for Godot Android plugins consisted of the plugin's `gdap` config file accompanied by binaries defined in the `gdap` file.
This format is now deprecated (starting with Godot 4.2), and instead Godot Android plugins are now packaged as `EditorExportPlugin` plugins.

The `EditorExportPlugin` class has been updated with the following methods to provide the necessary set of functionality:
- `_supports_platform`: returns true if the plugin supports the given platform
- `_get_android_dependencies`: retrieve the set of android dependencies (e.g: `org.godot.example:my-plugin:0.0.0`) provided by the plugin
- `_get_android_dependencies_maven_repos`: retrieve the urls of the maven repos for the provided android dependencies
- `_get_android_libraries`: retrieve the local paths of the android libraries (AAR files) provided by the plugin
- `_get_android_manifest_activity_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<activity>` element in the generated Android manifest
- `_get_android_manifest_application_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<application>` element in the generated Android manifest
- `_get_android_manifest_element_contents`: update the contents of the `<manifest>` element in the generated Android manifest

We can't rely on the error code from `gio` or `kioclient5`, in my
rudimentary testing they return `1` for both missing files and other
situations like not having a Trash can on the mounted volume.

Eoin O'Neill 8de98dbf21 Prevent double input events on gamepad when running through steam input
During GDC and general testing on Steam Deck units, we found that single
gamepads would often register inputs twice under certain circumstances.
This was caused by SteamInput creating a new virtual device, which Godot
registers as a second gamepad. This resulted in two gamepad devices
reporting the same button presses, often leading to buggy input response
on games with no multi-device logic and other-wise could cause intended
Steam rebindings to not work as intended (for example, swapping o and x
on a playstation pad if that feature isn't supported by the game.)

SDL gets around this by taking in a list of devices that are to be
ignored. When valve sees a controller that wants to be rebound via
SteamInput, they push a new VID/PID entry onto the environment
variable `SDL_GAMECONTROLLER_IGNORE_DEVICES` for the original gamepad
so that all game inputs can be read from the virtual gamepad instead.

This leverages the same logic as we are already using SDL gamepad
related HID mappings.

SCons: Move platform logo/run icon to `export` folder
Follow-up to #75932.
Since these icons are only used by the export plugin, it makes sense to
move them and generate the headers there.

The whole `detect.is_active()` logic seems to be a leftover from before
times, as far back as 1.0-stable it already wasn't used for anything.

So I'm removing it and moving the export icon generation to
`platform_methods`, where it makes more sense.

Style: Harmonize header includes in platform ports
This applies our existing style guide, and adds a new rule to that style
guide for modular components such as platform ports and modules:

Includes from the platform port or module should be included with relative
paths (relative to the root folder of the modular component, e.g.
`platform/linuxbsd/`), in their own section before Godot's "core" includes.

The `api` and `export` subfolders also need to be handled as self-contained
(and thus use relative paths for their "local" includes) as they are all
compiled for each editor platform, without necessarily having the api/export
matching platform folder in the include path.
E.g. the Linux editor build will compile `platform/android/{api,export}/*.cpp`
and those need to use relative includes for it to work.

The `InputEvent` class currently supports the `pressed` and `released` states, which given the binary nature, is represented by a `bool` field.
This commit introduced the `CANCELED` state, which signals that an ongoing input event has been canceled.
To represent all the states, the `InputEventState` enum is added and the `InputEvent` logic is refactored accordingly.

Turns out the list of trusted root certificates contains disallowed
certificates (i.e. certificates which are no longer trusted or have been
revoked).

We need to check for the property `CERT_DISALLOWED_FILETIME_PROP_ID` to

Linux: Don't use udev for joypad hotloading when running in a sandbox
udev doesn't work in sandboxes, notably the new Steam container runtime
as found notably on the Steam Deck, and in Flatpak/Snap packages.

Like SDL does, when we detect such a containerized environment, we fall
back to parsing `/dev/input` directly.
See smcv's comments in #76879 for details.

Fixes #76879.

Fabio Alessandrelli 6fd9982358 [TLS] Add support for platform-specific CA bundles.
Adds a new OS::get_system_ca_certs method which can be implemented by
platforms to retrieve the list of trusted CA certificates using OS
specific APIs.

The function should return the certificates in PEM format, and is
currently implemented for Windows/macOS/LinuxBSD(*)/Android.

mbedTLS will fall back to bundled certificates when the OS returns no
certificates.

(*) LinuxBSD does not have a standardized certificates store location.
    The current implementation will test for common locations and may
    return an empty string on some distributions (falling back to the
    bundled certificates).

Riteo a7542070ae Check DBus loading status before attempting to detect its version
Fixes two related segfaults caused by running the DBus version check
unconditionally and potentially calling null function pointers.

This was clearly an oversight as all the other wrappers have proper
loading status checks.

Instead of reading files over the network, the new version uses a local file cache and only updates files when it changes.

The original remote filesystem was created 14 years ago, when ethernet was faster than hard drives or even flash. Also, mobile devices have a very small amount of storage.
Nowadays, this is no longer the case so the approach is changed to using a persistent cache in the target device.

Emitting signals with params from Android plugins could crash due to
object assignment with uninitialised mem.  Instead, use 'memnew_placement'
to construct into stack addresses.  Make similar JNI callbacks consistent.

Juan Linietsky a37c30dfc9 Fix thread IDs.
On Linux, thread IDs were not properly assigned with the current approach.
The line:
`std::thread new_thread(&Thread::callback, _thread_id_hash(thread.get_id()), p_settings, p_callback, p_user);`
does not work because the thread ID is not assigned until the thread starts.

This PR changes the behavior to use manually generated thread IDs. Additionally, if a thread is (or may have been created) outside Godot, the method `Thread::attach_external_thread` was added.

Tweak command syntax in Vulkan renderer failure message
This quotes the executable name so that copying it always works
(even if the path contains spaces).

The command is also indented from the rest of the text and is
no longer single-quoted, as that can prevent the command from
running if the line is copied in its entirety (with the quotes).
